The parlor operator prepares the milking quipment and bulk tanks, milks cows and cleans equipment and facilities. They are responsible for basic maintenance of parlor equipment and some record keeping. *Behave in a calm manner that minimizes stress on cows *Adequately stimulates teats to encourage milk letdown *Prep and attach millking units *Identify and inflamed udder *Identify and report sick, lame, or low producing milking cows *Recognize when equipment is malfunctioning *Follow equipment procedures *Safely use cleaning chemicals *Identify abnormal milk *Follow accepted safety practices *Be on time to work, work at a reasonable pace and maintain internal motivation *Work as a team member to solve problems *Maintain all common staff areas *Prepare Milking Equipment
