Duties may include: Operate and maintain center pivot irrigation systems by troubleshooting, dismantling and reassembling irrigation systems to ensure water delivery to all crop areas. Technicians perform regular system maintenance, including spring startup, controller programming and winterization. Technicians also install new irrigation systems and retrofit older systems. 1-hour meal break offered & other related Pivot Irrigation Technician activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.
