Crawfishing duties include crawfishing in boats, catching crawfish, performing crawfishing duties in fields; manually cutting bait fish; baiting/checking traps; grading/washing crawfish for shipment; repairing traps as needed; work in the rice fields; tractor, equipment, and truck driving; field preparation; water maintenance; plant/harvest crops; manual shovel work; hoe weeds; spot spray; repair/maintain rice bins and fences; maintain levees, field roads and shop; Load/unload trucks into grain bins; level bins as needed; operate farm equipment. Job involves frequent stooping/lifting. Must be able to lift/carry sufficient weight (approximately 60 pounds) to move equipment and material necessary to complete assigned tasks. The Employer will rely on workers own representations and observations of workers to assess if the workers meet this qualification. Exposure to extreme temperatures; 2 months experience in similar farm position. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience.
