The employer is seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to assist with the tomato and onion harvest season and to perform plant nursery work. Duties include harvesting, packing, clean-up, field walking, and moving and operating farm equipment. Other job duties include weeding, pruning, irrigation installation and removal, post-harvest clean-up, tying and cutting string, pulling plastic and stakes, and other general farm labor. Workers will also perform plant care for various types of plants including tropical, other outdoor plants, and indoor plants. These duties include transplanting, line work, indoor and outdoor field work, lifting, loading, unloading, and operating farm equipment. Workers may occasionally assist with cleaning and maintenance activities for employer-provided worker housing facilities. Workers should follow safety and farm instructions. This job will be done under varying extreme outdoor weather conditions such as heat, humidity, direct sunlight, cold weather, possible rain, wind, and exposure to pollen, soil, mud, dust and other natural elements. Repetitive physical conditions such as prolonged walking, standing, heavy bending, stooping, reaching and lifting will be involved on a regular basis.
