The hog site specialist provides daily care and management for hogs from weaned pigs to market by distributing food, giving medication and vaccinations, and observing animals for signs of illness so they can be monitored and cared for appropriately throughout the production process. The work also includes ordering feed to support ongoing animal care, loading hogs for transport when they are ready to move to market or to farms, maintaining buildings used for the pigs, and cleaning the buildings and trucks used to transport hogs to market and to farms.
